Love these open source software. Small and medium scale enterprises can use these free of cost. Saves them lots of money and helps their businesses become more effective by using IT. When they grow big they can buy commercial versions of these products for support.
Its good for developers too ;-)

Indeed. But the problem is, because of their not_much_appealing GUI, they aren't chosen by many people.
There is another business model gaining ground these days. Companies do give paid support to open source products. It means that product is free (Since its open source) but if some organization wants to buy support then it can pay for it and get it.
