March against corruption

"India against corruption" (indiaagainstcorruption.org ) had organized a peaceful dandi march against corruption in Bangalore. Went to attend that, It was from sirsi circle to Gandhi statue at MG road. Around 600 people had come. Couple of foreigners were also there. TV9 and 1 more channel covered this event. It was a good experience to express yourself, in non-violent way, against corruption, corrupt policies and corrupt politicians and corrupt bureaucrats.

Now I know that I can do something, if need be, against this disease other than just talking.

Interview

Just watched interview of Chetan Bhagat on TV. Couple of thought provoking things he said.

First, we should stop being afraid and being shy of having strong views on governance issues like corruption (e.g. 2G scam). And if we keep ignoring having views on these then we can surely become clerks of the world but we can never become a developed nation.

My comment - it has become fashionable for people to say things like politics is bad or I dont like politics or i cant understand politics. But these educated illetrates dont realize how much harm such attitudes is causing to our nation, because these people too are voters and public awareness is the engine which gives direction to a nation.

Second, he mentioned that we are a country in love with dynasty. Like if people are told that a simple guy from a simple family has acted in a good movie, not many are going to notice it. But if people are told that son of a superstar is acting in some movie, we ...Indians...become possessed by it. This reflects itself in suppressing and disrespecting talent. And that talent either leaves our country or never materializes.

My comment, apply the same thing to politics and see how  much our country is being run by emotions (cheap emotions) rather than patriotism and rationalism.
