It is my last week in the current company. Looking forward to join the new company. Just enjoying my remaining days here.

Professional colleges

Just finished reading "Keep off the grass" by Karam Bajaj. It is somewhat similar to "5 point someone" (remember 3 idiots movie) by Chetan Bhagat.

The common theme is that in our professional institutes the system is quite screwed up. Students are treated worse than donkeys as they are loaded with tutorials, very frequent mid semester exams etc. Classmates turn backstabber as they want to secure more marks than you. Creativity is discouraged and learning by rote is encouraged.

I see myself in the main characters of the above 2 novels as I was also sort of rebel to the system. Though not to the extreme extent. Barring a very few, I never made rather could not make friends in the college...almost the whole batch was full of selfish, cunning, rote learning donkeys, moving-up-by-crushing-your-head type of people.

I have seen strange creatures in my engineering college......maybe I should write about them here..it can become good case studies on weird human behaviors ...maybe some day... :-)

जीवन चला जा रहा है
दिन और रातें आती हैं और बीत जाती हैं
क्या खोया और क्या पाया
ये हिसाब लगाने का जब वक़्त किसके पास है
जो बीत गया सो बीत गया, अच्छा हुआ या बुरा हुआ,
उस से क्या फरक पड़ता है
अगर साथी मिला तो ठीक, नहीं तो अकेले ही चलते जाना है
पता नहीं भगवान् है या नहीं
अगर है तो भी बिना कर्म के फल नहीं मिलता
तो पूजा कर के क्या फायदा
बस एक ही चिंता है
की जब जाएँ तो मन में यह  न रहे की कुछ किया नहीं
हर दिन एक नयी सुबह, नयी आशा, नया जोश ले के आता है
बस ये आशा, ये जोश  ख़तम ना हो , अगर भगवान्   है तो उस से यही एक प्रार्थना है

True Relationship

A true relationship is
..... where there is wish to give...and never ever any expectation for reward or taking...sacrifice is the foundation
..... which can withstand the hammer of time...the time...brings joys...sorrows..dull...good ..bad days...
..... where understanding happens without the usage of words
..... where you look back at the time...and feel your life's moments could not have been spent better
..... where you can sit with each other...and never feel the need to speak
..... where you never think about 'me' ...'my'...'mine'

Innovations

The innovations have been taking place at a quite rapid pace. US has been at the fore-front of it. Who could imagine internet 15-20 years back and the business impact of it?

Right now innovations like creating a life artificially, where man played God, iPad (not iPod), softwares which can run without an OS and much more...are going to have far reaching consequences in very near future.

Why India, with much more intellectual capital, can not be at the forefront of innovation? We need an ecosystem for where creativity is rewarded and govt stays away from lives of people and act is enabler rather then enforcer.

Things we want to do

There are certain things we want to do in our lives, other than the work which we do in our jobs. These things interest us because we liked when we read about them or saw them first..or we could not do because no money is earned in doing those or we think we are not capable of doing those...or we have other things of higher priority to do... If I were to make list of these things...it will be like below...think about yours...it is good to think about things which you want or once wanted to do in your lives....

My list....

1) Do Ph.D. in Sanskrit
2) Write a world famous Science fiction novel
3) Make a movie about strong sense of survival amongst women ( ;-) ) ...
4) Do Ph.D. in Maths
5) Read 4 Vedas and Upanishads
6) Make a very big business empire...which adds values to the society...

and the list goes on......................... !!!
